Les Pace

Bio: Les has worked with K-12 educational facilities since 1970 and he retired from Tulsa Public Schools in February 2007 after 17 years of service. Since retiring, Les re-opened his consulting firm (Pace Applied Technologies, Inc) and continues to work with Tulsa Public Schools, along with several other school districts in Oklahoma and Indiana. Through his company, which offers energy, facility management, and indoor air quality services, he works to provide teaching materials and classroom lessons on environmental conservation issues and the use of renewable energy. He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional (CLEP), Certified Demand Side Management, and trained in Indoor Air Quality evaluation of K-12 facilities.

Les is also the co-author of the Energy Management Handbook, which is published by the National Association of Energy Engineers and distributed to universities in the 44 member nations of the World Energy Engineers Congress. Due to his expertise, Les has twice been invited to speak to the World Energy Engineers Congress and has subsequently had his white papers published.

He also serves on the Oklahoma Green Schools Committee at Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
