Honor a Great Environmental Educator with the Chevrolet GREEN Educator Award!
Earth Force and the General Motors Foundation have teamed up to reward educators of all kinds who have taken an initiative to integrate environmental education into their schools, universities and community programs. Help us find the educators who have made the effort to promote youth engagement in environmental problem solving!
Each spring and summer, we will be taking nominations. You can nominate yourself or a "GREEN" educator who you think deserves the recognition! Each September through December, we will announce five winners per month until we have revealed all 20 educators from across the nation who exemplify great GREEN teaching.
The Chevrolet GREEN Educator Award is your chance to honor those special leaders in your schools and community who are helping students discover ways to shape the future of our environment!
We are looking for educators who:
- Teach about the environment
- Give young people the chance to develop and lead environmental projects
- Help young people understand the connection between their civic life and the environment by giving them civic experiences
- Engage other educators, administrators and community members in the experience
- Encourage others to teach about the environment
